No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies. Analytics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without building a profile of you. There is no Google Analytics and no advertising tracking.
Your browser stores two small things locally, never sent to us: your light/dark appearance choice, and a copy of any comment you posted that is still waiting for review, so you can see it on the page.
View counts and reactions
To count views and reactions without cookies, the server combines your IP address and browser user agent with a secret value that changes every day, and stores only the resulting one-way hash. The raw IP address is never stored. Because the secret changes daily, hashes from different days can’t be linked. View rows are deleted after 30 days.
Comments
When you comment, we store your name, email address, comment text and the time. Your name, comment and date are published after review. Your email is never shown and is only used to find and delete your comments if you ask. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given with the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address goes to Loops, our email provider, on a mailing list for this series only. We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Contact form
Messages you send (name, email, reason, message) are emailed to Izzy through Resend, and you get a copy. They are not stored on this site. Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Spam protection
Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile runs a check in your browser when you submit a form and does not set tracking cookies.

- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, database, analytics, spam protection.
- Loops: newsletter delivery.
- Resend: contact form email delivery.
- Slack: internal notification that a new comment is waiting for review (name and post only).
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can complain to a data protection authority. To delete your comments, send a request through the contact form using the email address you commented with.
